About

Hello!

My name is Vickie Stephens, welcome to my website.  For those of you that already know me, hopefully the following paragraphs will reveal something new.  For those of you that are getting to know me, the following paragraphs will definitely add to what you already know.

Who is Vickie Stephens?

I am a mother and successful business owner who relocated from South Central Los Angeles to the San Francisco Bay area to attend college at San Jose State University.  At SJSU, I was quickly introduced to the collegiate experience through my membership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Zeta Psi Chapter.  While attending college I maintained various jobs from retail to social services, which helped me understand how to deal with and work with various type of personalities.  After leaving social services I discovered an enthusiasm for helping people, eventually stumbling upon a fascinating career in the Insurance/ financial services industry.  As a long time insurance professional who is very experienced in handling complex insurance claims, I was approached by company management to consider a career as an agent.  After careful consideration, I accepted the challenge and was selected for the competitive opportunity of The Agency Career Track in 1999.  As a result, I was appointed as an Agency insurance agent in Fremont, California November 2000.  My combined experience of 15+ years with a premiere insurance carrier in both operations and agency has accentuated my expertise in the ability to consult on auto, home, life, business insurance and financial services for clients both young and old.

My passion for helping people during their most difficult times continues with my dedication to volunteer with various organizations, including MedShare and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  I am very passionate about our youth and was very active in the PTA, School Site Council and Booster club while my children were younger.  I have transitioned that enthusiasm by continuing to work with youths via KaBOOM!, Oriki Theater, Banking On Our Future and Chabot College’s Daraja Program.

When I have a little personal free time, I enjoy travelling both short and long distances and have adopted the term “staycation” for brief visits to Monterey, Half Moon Bay and Southern California.
